Jacquelyn studied and practiced an intensive yearlong training in Power Yoga, (Byran Baptese style), at Sanctuary Yoga Studio in Torrington CT. She received her 200 RYT Hatha /Vinyasa from The OM Yoga Center in Watertown CT. She began instruction in 2013.
Jacquelyn’s peaceful journey in Yoga practice made her recognize that her entire life, she has been drawn toward Yoga. This is in great part because of her compassion to help others, to be outside with mother nature, and her passion of physical movement through fitness, dance and martial arts. At the age 50, she shared in a discovery of her true inner self, and her connection to the universe. Hence, in her beautiful Yoga practice, her goal is to share her knowledge with students as her teachers did, and the teachers before them.

In her class, expect Jacquelyn to practice Prana,(breath work), chanting, to open up spiritually to the chakras, and be physically energized. She dedicates each practice to the students by sharing her knowledge of how to incorporate, Yoga mindfully with body movement and the breath. Her fun loving personality makes each class personal, comfortable, and the practice focuses on a both the balance of effort and ease with the flow of class, by taking yourself to the edge at a comfortable level.
Jacquelyn’s profession is in social work, working with individuals and families in need, she has a bachelor’s degree in social work, and she has an associate’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation. She is Certified in CPR, Crisis Counselor, Turbo Kick instructor, former AFAA group fitness instructor, Psychological and physical management trainer, State staff development instructor, Adult education instructor, and AFAA Practical Pilates, and former WITS Personal trainer.
